Sarah Hazeldine

NIDAN

Sarah originally began her training in Wado with John Wicks and his Suhari club in Surrey. She joined Kenkyukai in 2003 and progressed to second Dan in September 2006.

She is senior assistant instructor.

Over the years she has trained with T. Suzuki, Gary Swift, Nick Smith, Rob Smith,Mike Sutcliffe, Peter Hall, Andy Dare, Peter Mills, Alan Flook, Joe Johnson, Andy & Jim Daly & Nick Perkins in Wado and Craig Finch (Shorinryu), Mally Holmes, Brian Herbert, Trevor Wickett & Umberto Bergonzini (Jujitsu) & Neil Garland (Tai Chi).

 Luke Stinchcomb

 JIDO-NIDAN

Luke began training with Kenkyukai in April 2003 and became the clubs first 'home grown' Dan grade in April 2008.

He is the Dojo captain for the Kenkyukai Hombu Dojo.

In October 2010 he successfully graded to second Dan under Gary Swift Kyoshi 7th Dan & Nick Smith Shihan 7th Dan.

He has attended many Wado & Multi art courses and has trained with H. Otsuka II, K. Sakagami, George Grimes, Tony Heap, Gary Swift, Pete Whitney, Barry Wilkinson, Mike Sutcliffe, Nick Smith, Rob Smith, Peter Hall, Andy Dare, Joe Johnson, Peter Mills, Andy & Jim Daly, Alan Flook, Dave Wheatley in Wado and Craig Finch (Shorinryu),  Mally Holmes, Brian Herbert, Trevor Wickett, Umberto Bergonzini & Steve Cook (Jujitsu), Paul Wheel (Muay Thai) Ron Holt (Kenjitsu) Rod Forsyth (Police protection tactics) & Neil Garland (Tai Chi).

NIDAN

Tom began his Karate training in June 2003 and graded to first Dan in February 2009.

In August 2011 he successfully graded to second Dan.

In Wado Tom has trained under K. Sakagami, George Grimes, Tony Heap, Gary Swift, Pete Whitney, Barry Wilkinson, Mike Sutcliffe, Nick Smith, Rob Smith, Peter Hall, Mick Rapley, Andy Dare, Joe Johnson, Andy & Jim Daly & Nick Perkins. In other arts Craig Finch (Shorinryu), Mally Holmes,Trevor Wickett & Umberto Bergonzini (Jujitsu) & Neil Garland (Tai Chi).

ADEL GIBSON

NIDAN

Adel first started with Kenkyukai in November 2004 and graded alongside Tom to first Dan  in February 2009, and to second Dan in August 2011.

Adel is the coaching development officer for Kenkyukai.

She too has attended many courses in Wado & other styles & arts, and has trained with H. Otsuka II, K. Sakagami, Gary Swift, Pete Whitney, Barry Wilkinson, Mike Sutcliffe, Nick Smith, Rob Smith, Peter Hall, Andy Dare, Joe Johnson, Peter Mills, Andy & Jim Daly, Nick Perkins, Alan Flook & Dave Wheatley in Wado, as well as K. Nohara & Craig Finch (Shorin Ryu), Mac Robertson (Kyokushinkai), Mally Holmes, Kevin Pell, Trevor Wickett, Umberto Bergonzini & Steve Cook (Jujitsu), Paul Wheel (Muay Thai), Ron Holt (Kenjitsu), Rod Forsyth (Police protection tactics) & Neil Garland (Tai Chi).

In 2007 she was awarded student of the course on the AWA annual summer training camp.

SHODAN 

 Josh began with Kenkyukai in October 2003, and gained his first Dan in October 2010. He has trained in Wado under K Sakagami, Gary swift, Barry Wilkinson, Mike Sutcliffe, Nick Smith, Rob Smith, Peter Hall, Joe Johnson & Andy & Jim Daly. He has also trained under Craig Finch (Shorinryu), Mally Holmes & Trevor Wickett (Ju jitsu) & Neil Garland (Tai chi).
